The long-awaited reopening of the country’s first world-class marine theme park is finally here! After a year of temporary closure, Manila Ocean Park safely opens its gates to the public on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2021. In an effort to keep guests safe from COVID-19 transmission, Manila Ocean Park has updated its health, safety, and cleanliness protocols, and will be introducing new park guidelines that all park goers must follow.
Manila Ocean Park been inspected and granted the authority to operate by the City of Manila as endorsed by concerned government agencies such as DOT, DTI, and the DOLE. Manila Ocean Park will be operating at 30% capacity in compliance with the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) guidelines and regulations set by the Philippine government.
To help you enjoy your visit, Manila Ocean Park has posted a list of safety precautions that all park goers must follow. Keep these guidelines in mind throughout your visit in order to protect yourself and those around you. We will be implementing all measures with great care so that you can enjoy a relaxed day with us.
When guests arrive on-property, they must accomplish a Contact Tracing Form. For guests’ convenience, a digital form can be accessed by scanning a QR code using a mobile phone. Manual registrations forms are also available for guests without a phone.
All guests will undergo non-contact temperature checks upon entrance and must pass the IATF guideline temperature recommendation of ≤ 37.5°C before entry. Random temperature checks will also be done to guests throughout the park. Anyone found with 38˚C (100.4˚F) body temperature shall be denied entry and required to undergo a further assessment of his / her condition.
Manila Ocean Park can only operate at 30% capacity as per IATF guidelines. The number of guests per day, per hour are capped. There will be staff monitoring the number of guests inside the attractions, activity areas, restaurants, shops and restrooms to ensure there is plenty of room for social distancing.
All guests over the age of 18 will be required to wear face masks and full-face shields throughout their visit. Guests refusing to wear face masks and face shields or those wanting to wear ineffective (made of paper towel or similar material) or inappropriate (offensive graphics or text) masks/face coverings shall NOT be allowed entry. The removal of face masks and full-face face shields will only be allowed during swimming activities in pools/animal encounters programs and while eating and drinking inside food outlets/ restaurants.
In compliance with IATF guidelines, Manila Ocean Park can only grant entry to guests aged 18-65. Those below 18, older than 65, and individuals with underlying conditions will not be accepted. Valid identification with birthdate may be required.
Guests must remain with their family and friends, keeping a safe distance of one (1) meter apart from other guests. Physical distancing measures have been put in place including physically distanced queues, single-direction guest flow, marked barriers and distancing markers on the floor. For seat-based attractions, seating arrangement shall be two-seat apart and one row apart to observe one-meter physical distancing both sides to side and front to back to observe the minimum one (1) meter physical distancing.
We will have a number of stations throughout the park offering free hand sanitizer to guests and staff. All hand sanitizer for guests and staff will be an antimicrobial agent containing at least 60% alcohol. Guests and staff are also encouraged to wash their hands regularly, and bring their own sanitation kits.
As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our guests, Manila Ocean Park has developed high standards for cleaning and sanitation. Our health and safety protocols include safe and correct use of disinfectants, frequent sanitation and cleaning, and proper education and training of housekeeping employees.
Please note that some areas of the park will not be accessible to guests. Apart from the attractions offered in the packages, certain experiences and shows will be unavailable until further notice. Thank you for your understanding.
Seating is arranged to comply with current social distancing guidelines. Sneeze guards or other barriers are in a place where needed. We request for guests to not move the seats while eating. Common areas, tables and chairs will be cleaned and sanitized after every use. Food will be individually packed, and drinks will be available in PET bottles, cans or single-use cups whenever possible. Straws will be wrapped and flatware will be pre-packaged.
